Refund & Return Policy

At Yokai Art, we want you to feel confident and supported with every purchase.
Our policies follow the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which guarantees your rights to refunds, replacements, or repairs for faulty goods.

Australian Consumer Law – Your Rights

Under the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if a product is faulty, damaged, or significantly different from its description.

You are not entitled to a refund or exchange for change-of-mind reasons unless we choose to offer one. However, we value our customers and do offer some flexibility (see Section 2).

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please email us at support@yokaiart.com within 7 days of receiving your order with:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the issue

  • Description of the fault


We will resolve the issue as quickly as possible under ACL obligations.

Change-of-Mind Returns & Size Exchanges

Because our products are made-to-order, we cannot guarantee stock availability for exchanges — however, we do offer the following options:

Exchanges

If the item does not fit or you ordered the wrong size, and stock allows, we can offer an exchange for the same product in a different size.

Store Credit (If Exchange Not Possible)

If we cannot offer an exchange due to stock limitations, the customer will receive store credit valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Conditions for Change-of-Mind / Exchange Requests:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

  • Must be requested within 14 days of receiving your item

  • Customer is responsible for all shipping costs, including:

    • Returning the original item

    • Shipping the replacement item back to you

We recommend using tracked postage for returning items, as we cannot take responsibility for lost parcels.

Before purchasing, please see the size chart to ensure you select the correct fit.

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Worn or washed items

  • Items with deodorant, fragrance, or body marks

  • Items without original packaging (if applicable)

  • Limited-edition items after the preorder period has closed (unless faulty under ACL)

Processing Time

Once we receive your returned item, please allow:

  • 3–5 business days for inspection and approval

  • 3–5 business days for processing a refund, replacement, or store credit

Store credit will be issued via email with a unique code.

Refund Method

Approved refunds (ACL only) will be processed using the same payment method used at checkout.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Order Cancellations

Because items are made to order, cancellations are only possible within 12 hours of placing the order.
After this timeframe, production may have begun, and we cannot cancel the order.

Sale Items

Sale or discounted items are not eligible for refunds or exchanges unless they arrive faulty under ACL.

How to Lodge a Return Request

Email: support@yokaiart.com.au
Include:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (if applicable)

We will respond within 1–2 business days.

Lost, Delayed or Stolen Packages

Once your order has been handed to AusPost, delivery is the responsibility of Australia Post.
However, we will assist where possible.
